General characteristics:

  • Resistance to temperatures ranging between -55 and +260°C;
  • Excellent non-stick properties;
  • Excellent resistance to aggressive chemicals.

Characteristics GLASS / PTFE fiber, belts.

PTFE is a high temperature re-sistant material that was first used as a gasket material du-ring the making of the world's first atomic bomb. Today it is better known by the trade names TEFLON® and FLUON© and has been used to solve countless other problems industrial and domestic.

Overall, PTFE has a unique profile of properties that make it especially suitable for difficult industrial applications. PTFE coated fabric keeps the heated jaws of this automated packaging machine free from sticky residue during the bag sealing operation.

  • Unaffected by temperature extremes (-150°C to 260°C for glass) (-150°C to 200°C for Kewlar)
  • Non-stick even at tempera-ture extremes
  • Non-toxic
  • Resistant to attack from most industrial chemicals and solvents
  • Low friction
  • Electrical insulator
  • Compatible with ultraviolet, infra-red, radio frequency; and microwave methods of heating and drying
  • Flexible

Most common application sectors:

  • Packaging:
  • Film hot sealing;
  • Thermoretractables tunnels;
  • Shopping bag production;
  • Plastics welding:
  • High frequency welding;
  • PVC welding.
  • Conveyor for extruded rubber vulcanization ovens;
  • Fabrics drying and printing in the textile industry;
  • Wrapping industry for textile lamination;
