ARAMIDE-PTFE BELT

General characteristics:

  • Resistance to temperatures ranging between -55 and +260°C;
  • High mechanical resistance;
  • Good abrasion resistance;
  • DModerate resistance for uses in vapor-filled environments.

Characteristics ARAMIDE / PTFE fiber, belts

This fabric results to be stronger, on parity of energy (libra X libra), than steel. As this fabric is coated PTFE (Teflon®) has property of strength, elasticity even if it has not a weight high. This fabric keep stability and integrity of dimension with temperatures from -50° to +200 Co.

The Kewlar® is more resistant to abrasion than glass fabric. Dimensional stability After 200° it can arrive to an extension percentage to 0,4 %, on the contrary to glass fabric for which there is a percenta-ge of 0,1%.

Most common application sectors:

  • Ceramic industry (belt for drying powder paint);
  • Food industry;
  • Textile industry (belts for textile laminations);
  • Mining industry (belts for magnetic separators).
